Sarah Murray, RN, IBCLC, RYT200
I have been working in the birth world for the past 17 years. My work and experiences as a Labor & Delivery Nurse and Lactation Consultant in NYC hospitals ignited and fueled my passion for women’s health and birth education. Caring for women as they birth and learn to feed their babies provides an unparalleled opportunity to deeply connect, to advocate, to teach, and to ultimately empower. I believe birth is a sacred rite of passage, with the power to empower and transform us, while creating a blueprint for the life of our kids. However, in today’s modern society we’ve lost our way. My personal experiences with infertility, difficulty breastfeeding, infant colic, and the isolation that comes along with new motherhood left me feeling lonely and depleted. I slowly pieced together a healing through a devoted yoga practice, major diet and lifestyle changes, nourishing human connections and the amazing work of so many birth workers and wisdom holders. Passage was born out of a desire to create a conscious community for new and expectant parents who want to feel deeply honored during pregnancy and the postpartum period. All of our offerings for education and care are rooted in yoga and compassion practices.
